MLA Somashekar plays good Samaritan:  Shifts sickman to hospital

Mysuru: Playing good Samaritan,K.R. MLA Somashekar has shifted a seriously ill 60-year-old man, who was lying along a road  and was struggling for life, to K.R. Hospital last night.

The sick 60-year-old man has been identified by local residents as Dwarakanath of Agrahara.

Somashekar was taking part in ‘Karaga Utsava’ at Karimaramma Temple on Ramanuja Road last evening, when someone telephoned him to inform  about the plight of a sick man lying along the road.

Somashekar, who rushed to the spot, summoned an ambulance and shifted the sick man to K.R. Hospital. The MLA also directed the Hospital authorities to extend all medical help to him.

Dwarakanath, who was said to be well off, had reportedly distanced himself from family members. Although Dwarakanth was lying on the road suffering from illness for the past three-days, no one bothered to take care of him, it is learnt.
