Mysore/Mysuru: At District Minister’s meeting with officials, Narasimharaja (NR) MLA Tanveer Sait expressed concern over polluted water of the city entering river beds.
Stopping the MCC Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy, who came forward to give an explanation saying that he has over 30 years of experience on the issue, Sait said that the MCC must take urgent measures for preventing polluted /contaminated water from entering river beds as it will pose a health hazard.
District Minister Dr. Mahadevappa asked the officials to work in accordance with Government guidelines and Rules & Regulations without any laxity or lethargy.
Pointing out that the Government has planned to introduce its ambitious ‘Anna Bhagya’ Scheme (10 kg rice per person in a BPL family) in July, one of the five pre-poll guarantees of the Congress, he instructed the officials to make all preparations for the scheme which is set to be launched by the CM in Mysuru.
