MLA Tanveer Sait inaugurates Payam-e-Iqbal literary organisation

Mysore/Mysuru: MLA Tanveer Sait inaugurated Payam-e-Iqbal, a sub organisation of Faizan-e-Urdu Adab, a literary organisation at a function held at Darsgah-e-Bathool in N.R. Mohalla on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sait  said he was proud that  his grand-father had got an opportunity to host Dr. Allama Iqbal during his visit to Mysuru city in 1929 and also visited the tomb of Hazrath Tipu  Sultan in Srirangapatna. He said that Dr. Iqbal has shown the right path to Muslim community through his poems.

 Moulana Dr. Haziq Nadvi, Administrator of Darul Umoor, Srirangapatna, spoke on the life and poetry of renowned Urdu poet-philosopher Dr. Allama Iqbal. He also presented some famous couplets of Dr Iqbal.

Retired Professor of Farooqia Dental College Dr. Anees Ahmed presided.

The function began with recitation of holy verses from Quran by Dr. Fuzail Ayaz, Secretary, Huda Public School.  Famous Urdu poets of city Hakeem Sayeed and Abbas Ali jointly presented Naath E Shariff. Prof. Safina, Head, Department of Urdu, Maharani’s College, welcomed and presented a report of Faizan-e-Urdu Adab.

 Momina Mukhtar Sufi, President, Faizan-e-Urdu Adab introduced Dr. Allama Iqbal and presented some couplets of Dr. Iqbal. Dr. Suraiya Tarannum, Dental Surgeon and Secretary of Faizan-e-Urdu Adab and other members felicitated the dignitaries on the dais.

Prof. Baseerath Sultana pre-sented a memento to Faizan-e-Urdu Adab. Fazil Chand compered.

Dr. Syed Akheel Ahmed, former Vice-Chancellor, Yenepoya University, Mangaluru, Prof. Riaz Ahmed, former President,  Farooqia Educational institutions, Prof. Nabi Jan, Ariff A. Mehkri, former Chairman, Mysore District Wakf Advisory Committee, Directors of Muslim Co-operative Bank Rahmath Ulla Shariff and Md. Abdus Salam, Prof. Jahan Aara, formerly of Department of Urdu, University of Mysore, Neelofer Nayab, President, Darsgah-e-Bathool and others were present.
