MLAs perform guddali puja for developmental works in city

Mysuru: K.R. MLA S.A. Ramdas on Sunday performed guddali puja (ground-breaking ceremony) to a slew of developmental works in MCC Ward numbers 62 and 63 coming under K.R. Assembly Constituency.

The works included concreting of roads in Nachanahallipalya taken up at a cost of Rs.25 lakh, construction of box-type storm water drainage in J.P.Nagar A-Block at a cost of Rs.20 lakh in Ward No.62, construction of box type drainage in Navodaya layout of J.P.Nagar at a cost of Rs.20 lakh and construction of box type drainage along Dr.B.R.Ambedkar road in Nachanahallipalya at an estimated cost of Rs.30 lakh in Ward No.63, among others.

On the occasion, the MLA also inaugurated Janaspandana Office of Ward No.62 (Vishweshwaranagar) Corporator Shanthamma Vadivelu  located behind Ashokapuram Police Station. 

Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Devegowda performing guddali puja for the construction of compound wall of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan at Jayadevanagar (MCC Ward 7) coming under Chamundeshwari Assembly segment, at a cost of Rs.10 lakh and construction of underground drainage at a cost of Rs.35 lakh in the Ward on Sunday, as Corporators Ramesh, Ramani Ramesh and Shivanna and others look on.

Corporators Shanthamma and Sharadamma Eshwar and other BJP leaders were present.

In yet another programme on Sunday, Ramdas performed guddali puja  for the remodelled storm water drain and drainage works near NaMo Yoga Bhavan at Agrahara to be taken up at a cost of Rs.15 lakh. 

The works is being executed under the Union Government’s 14th Finance Plan, according to the MLA.
