Students should have goal, commitment and willingness to achieve: Yogashri Dr. A.R. Seetharam

November 11, 2019

Mysuru: Students should have goal, commitment and willingness to achieve,  said Founder-President of Paramahamsa Yoga Therapy and Counselling Centre Yogashri  Dr. A.R. Seetharam.

He was speaking after inaugurating a Workshop on Stress Management, Personality Development, Enrichment of Life Skills and Values and Yoga Therapy at Gangothri PU College on Bogadi Main Road   here recently.

“Sri Jayachamaraja Wadiyar gave emphasis to health for all. He started hospitals and healthcare centres during his rule. Yoga is getting popular everywhere due to its benefits. It keeps you active throughout the day; if I am roaming around with so much enthusiasm, it is because of yoga that I do every morning. One can be more active and healthy by practicing yoga regularly,”  he said.

“Every student must include yoga as part of everyday life. Along with studies, dedicating one hour in the morning to yoga activities will keep one healthy and fit. Keeping all this in mind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched ‘Fit India’ campaign. In this computer age, we sit in front of computers most of the time. From this, we will lose control of our health and fitness. Youngsters are struck with mobiles and laptops almost all the time and forget about physical activity,” he added.

“To achieve anything a sound body is the pillar. If we keep our body fit and strong our mind will also be fine. Gandhiji once said that he wanted to live for 120 years for the sake of the society. He further said that we should keep our atmosphere clean, then only we can build the Swachh Bharat, that is, Clean India,” Dr. Seetharam observed.
