As part of monthly moonlight music programme Vidwan Ramana Balachandran of Bengaluru will present a Veena concert at Suttur Mutt in city at 6pm on Mar.12.
Vidwan Ramana Balachandran is a teen prodigy, who learnt basic ragas from his mother Sharanya Balachandra as a kid. He later learnt music lessons from his father Vidwan Balachandran, Vidushi Neela Ramagopal and Ranganath Chakravarthy.
His musical fineness is so rich that Akashvani had to bring down the lower age limit for an audition test. Taking part in musical concerts at a tender age, Ramana has 32 awards till date to his credit, which speaks of his musical talent. Among the many awards and prizes he has won, include RBC youth achiever award-2014, Lalitha Padmanabhan endowment award, Prof. G.T. Narayana Rao award and Raagalaya Prabhe award.
Ramana will be accompanied by Vidwan Akshay Anand on mridanga and Vidwan S. Manjunath on violin.
