Mysore/Mysuru: The 281st edition of moonlight music concert will be held at Suttur Mutt branch located at the foot of Chamundi Hill in city on July 10 at 6 pm.

The vocal concert by Vid. Sampagodu S. Vighnaraja will be preceded by a special lecture by Prabhuswamy C. Malimutt, an A grade Akashvani artiste, who joined AIR Dharwad during 1991. After having served for more than 34 years in Mysuru, he retired recently as Senior Announcer. 

Vid. Sampagodu S. Vighnaraja is an expert in vocal music, violin and Sumukhaveena. He has been training youngsters through his Surya Music Global Academy. He has received many accolades including Aryabhatta award, BCKA Yuvashresta award, Gaanaprathibhamani, Ganagandharva, Naadachoodamani and Sangeetha Samrat titles among others. He has also been accorded with ‘Asthana Vidwan Award’ by Sringeri Sharada Peeta and Hariharapura Sharada Lakshminarasimha Peeta.

Vid. Vighnaraja will be accompanied on violin by Vid. S. Janardhan, on mridanga by Vid. Anirudh S. Bhat and on ghata by Vid. M.R. Manjunath.
