Mysuru: Vidu. Bhargavi Venkataram will perform at the monthly moonlight music programme at Suttur Mutt, foot of Chamundi Hill at 6 pm on June 17 (Monday). Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion.

Vidushi Bhargavi Venkataram, who hails from a family of musicians, is the daughter of Vidushi Triveni Saralaya.

After learning the initial lessons of music from her parents, she tutored under renowned Chennai-based musician Vid. T.M. Krishnan. She has performed at many prestigious musical events across the country and bagged many awards and prizes.

A ‘B’ grade artiste of All India Radio, she will be accompanied by Sumanth Manjunath on violin and Akshay Anand on mridanga.

Sumanth is the son of internationally-acclaimed violinist Dr. Mysore Manjunath. He is a young talent, having performed at a musical concert at the tender age of 8 years.

Akshay Anand is the disciple of senior artiste Vid. K.S. Kalidas. He is a ‘B’ grade Akashvani artiste and has performed in many TV channels.
