Moonlight Music on Apr. 23: Bengaluru Brothers to sing at Suttur Mutt

Mysore/Mysuru: The 266th edition of Moonlight Music Concert organised under the aegis of Suttur Mutt will be held at 6 pm on Apr. 23 at Suttur Mutt premises at the foot of Chamundi hill.

The  Vocal Duet will be presented by Moonlight Music on Apr. 23 and Vidwan S. Ashok, who were called as ‘Bengaluru Brothers’ by none other than the music stalwart Gaanakalashri Vidwan H.S. Sudheendra. 

Vidwan M.B. Hariharan learnt his early music lessons from Vidwan S.N. Srinivas Prasanna, while Vidwan S. Ashok was trained under Vidwans D.S. Srivatsa and K.R. Ramesh and Vidushi Vydehi.

Both are A Grade artistes of Bangalore Akashavani, hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and are M. Music Post-Graduates from Madras University.

The two will be accompanied by Vidwan S. Janardhan on Violin, who began to learn music from the tender age of 7 years.

 He learnt violin lessons from Vidushi Anuttama Murali and currently, is tutoring under Padma Shri A. Kanyakumari. He is a B-High grade Akashvani and Doordarshan artiste. 

Senior artiste Vidwan H.S. Sudheendra will play mridanga. He learnt his first lessons from his parents H. Srinivasrao and Indira. He has won many awards and prizes including the prestigious Palani Subramanya Pillai prize given by Madras Music Academy, Layakaya, Gaanakala awards and  Asthana Vidwan award given by Bengaluru’s Shankar Mutt.

Vidwan Shamith S.Gowda will play ghata. A software engineer by profession, he has taken part in ‘Spirit of Yuvajanotsava’ event organised by Madras Music Academy and has presented many musical concerts.
