More on One Nation, One Culture

Sir,

I was enlightened reading the article “Sage Agasthya Stood For One Nation, One Culture” by Dr. Manik Bengeri (Star of Mysore dated Aug.18). So exhaustive was the article that I learnt many facts about our culture and history I never knew before. It is unfortunate that our present generation is slowly leaning towards western culture, forgetting our glorious past, history and culture for no reason.

My memory runs back to my childhood days when my grandfather, a renowned Sanskrit scholar himself, used to forcibly make us gather every evening between 7 and 8 to undergo his discourse on Vedas, Agamas, and listen to stories on great sages including Agasthya. Even my neighbour-friends used to accompany us, of course for free. Gone are those days which I cherish even today.

Back to the article, it was very informative and well substantiates the need and benefits of proclaiming One Nation, One Constitution.
