Mysore/Mysuru: Chamarajanagar University Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.R. Gangadhar said that developments of high significance is going on in country’s health sector, with extensive research being carried out in digital health services.
He was speaking after inaugurating the National Symposium on ‘Drug Discovery from Indian Traditional Medicines and Reverse Pharmacology,’ jointly organised by All Pharmacognosists and Phytochemists Association (APPA) and Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Educators (APSE) at Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy premises in Krishnamurthypuram here on Saturday.
Pointing out that key research is going on for health betterment and discovery of improved drugs with the help of Artificial Intelligence, he said that Pharmaceutical scientists should keep abreast of the latest developments and innovations.
Government College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences Principal Dr. Gajanana Hegde, in his address, said that the Indian system of medicine has been of huge benefit to many people for decades. He lauded the College for giving importance to medicinal plants extracts and research.
Belagavi KLE College of Pharmacy Principal Dr. Sunil S. Jalalpure and Mallige Pharmacy College faculty Prof. Rajendra also delivered lectures.
Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy Principal Dr. Hanumanthachar Joshi, faculty Dr. Venkatrao and Dr. C.S. Charan, Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions Secretary N. Chandrashekar and others were present.
