Mother of accident victim dies

Mandya:  More tragedy struck the family of a victim of the fatal road accident that took place at Channapillakoppalu gate on Mysuru-Malavalli Road yesterday with the mother of the victim who was admitted to Mandya District Hospital suffered a heart attack and breathed her last in the hospital this morning.

Sarojamma (47) of Kirugavalu in Malavalli taluk is the deceased.

Sarojamma suffered a heart attack reportedly out of shock upon hearing the news of the death of her son Nithin (22) in the collision between a Maruti Omni van and a KSRTC bus, in which two other youths apart from Nithin were killed on the spot. She was rushed to Mandya District Hospital yesterday. But she did not respond to the treatment and died this morning, bringing more sorrow to the grieving family.

A pall of gloom engulfed Kirugavalu soon as the news of the death of Sarojamma reached the village, it is learnt.
