Mysuru: A motorcyclist was killed on the spot while another rider sustained injuries, when the two-wheeler they were travelling on, was knocked down by a city bus at Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Circle (Hardinge Circle) in the city yesterday.

The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Nandusharma (45), a resident of Bengaluru. Pillion rider Prasanna Kumar, a resident of Agrahara in city who sustained injuries, has been admitted to a hospital.

Nandusharma, who had come to city to visit his mother, was travelling on a motorcycle along with Prasanna Kumar when a city bus proceeding towards Chamundi Hill, knocked down the motorcycle at Hardinge Circle and ran over Nandusharma, killing him on the spot, it is learnt.

Devaraja Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
