Provide Halt Station at JP Nagar last stop

December 30, 2017

Sir,

The present Mysuru – Chamarajanagar Railway Track passes very next to JP Nagar and JP Nagar last bus stop where the facility of city buses to Southern part of Mysuru, especially JP Nagar, Vishweshwaranagar, Vidyaranyapuram and Nanjumalige, is very good. But the nearest Halt Station at Ashokapuram doesn’t have any city bus connectivity nor autos are available. One has to walk all the way to H.D. Kote Road to get any transportation facility.

A Halt Station with a platform and a small ticket counter something like the one in Chamarajapuram here would benefit hundreds of people as the JP Nagar last bus stop is connected with good number of buses. Autos are also easily available.

On behalf of the large number of travelling public, I request the DRM Mysuru and MP Pratap Simha to take up this matter with the Railway Ministry.
