Motorcyclist killed in mishap

Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision between two motorcycles at the Ring Road junction on Mysuru-T. Narasipur Road last night.

The deceased has been identified as Shivanna (58), of Muddegowdanahundi in Varuna hobli of the taluk.

Shivanna, who had come to the city to visit his son Jagadish, a CAR Constable, was returning on his motorcycle (KA-55 H-7190) along with his relative Shivamma, when a speeding motorcyclist (KL-11 W-8661), coming from Bannur side, knocked down Shivanna’s motorcycle at the Ring Road junction.

As a result, Shivanna sustained serious injuries and was rushed to JSS Hospital where he breathed his last a couple of hours later, while pillion rider Shivamma escaped unhurt,  it is learnt.

Siddharatha Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
