MP recalls Wadiyars’ contributions

September 22, 2017

Mysuru: The contributions of the erstwhile rulers of Mysore have been a boon for the people of the region and the assets created by the Wadiyars are still benefiting lakhs of people and will continue to benefit generations, said Mysuru- Kodagu MP Pratap Simha.

He was speaking at the inauguration of Dasara festivities atop Chamundi Hill here yesterday. “Be it the KRS Dam, Mysore Palace, University of Mysore, a host of hospitals, Zoo Gardens, the contributions of Wadiyars are immense and that is the reason, the region is teeming with tourists now,” he said.  “We cannot forget the contribution of Wadiyars. Our Chief Minister Siddharamaiah is tough in his words but is soft-hearted. Though I have criticised him many times, he has not taken it personally and has given me a chance to speak,” he added.
