MRC racing commentator Madhukar Bhagavan passes away

Mysuru: Mysore Race Club (MRC) racing commentator Madhukar Bhagavan (57), a resident of Ittigegud, Mysuru, passed away yesterday at Bengaluru following a heart attack.

He leaves behind his wife Kalpana, daughter Nandini, son Abhiram and a host of relatives and friends.

He had gone to Shiradi along with his friends and while returning he alighted at the Bengaluru Railway Station and got into  Chamundi Express train alone to reach Mysuru. He collapsed in the train which the Railway Police noticed and immediately shifted him to the Victoria Hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The Police contacted Bhagavan’s relatives through his mobile phone and gave them the information. After post-mortem,  his body was brought to Mysuru last night.

The last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill at 4 pm today, according to family sources.
