Bengaluru: The Special Court for Elected Representatives, has reserved the order on Lokayukta Police filing B- report (Closure Report) over the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site scam, in which Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife B.M. Parvathi, are named as accused, for Jan. 22.
The Lokayukta Police had filed the B-report, citing lack of evidences against Siddaramaiah and other accused in the case. Right to Information (RTI) activist Snehamayi Krishna, had appealed to the Court, questioning the grounds of filing B-report in the case.
Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Venkatesh Arabatti, who appeared on behalf of Lokayukta in the Court yesterday, submitted the details of the case.
Arabatti apprised the Court that the Lokayukta Police had subjected 70 witnesses to enquiry, neither of whom corroborated the charges of Chief Minister misusing his power nor influencing the course of investigation.
After examining the report from all the angles, the Investigating Officer (IO) has submitted the B- report.
Snehamayi Krishna, who was present at the Court as the litigant, submitted written arguments before the Court.
The Court, after hearing arguments and counter arguments, reserved its order for Jan. 22, after going through the complexities related to the case.
