Bharathinagar (Mandya): Sri Mahalinga Swamiji (98), the nonagenarian seer of Mudukuthore Shakha Mutt at S.I. Honnalagere (Chandupura) near Bharathinagar in Maddur taluk of Mandya district, passed away on Sunday night. The seer’s mortal remains were taken in a procession at S.I. Honnalagere and last rites were performed at the Mutt premises on Monday as per his wish.

Seers from various Mutts, Maddur MLA D.C. Thammanna and a host of other political leaders and dignitaries paid their last respects to the departed Seer.
