Muktaka Sahitya Academy Award to be conferred tomorrow

DVG Muktaka Sahitya Academy Award will be conferred at a programme organised by Karnataka Muktaka Sahitya Academy Trust as part of its 22nd anniversary at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in city at 5 pm tomorrow (Feb. 27).

Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, Academy President Rajashekar Kadamba said that writer K.   Jayaprakash Rao will confer the award on writer and columnist from Sakaleshpur S. Lalitha.

Achievers from different fields — Prof. K. Bhyravamurthy (Literature), Scholar R.S. Nandakumar (Music), C.S. Mangalamma (Columnist), M.R. Anand (Sahitya Dasoha) and Jayalakshmi Sampatkumar (Editor of Sudharma Sanskrit Daily) will be felicitated on the occasion. University of Mysore Vice- Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar will inaugurate the programme, he said adding that District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal and Trust’s Hon. President S. Ramprasad will be present.
