Murder threat to Mandya DC

Mandya: An unidentified person has threatened to kill Mandya Deputy Commissioner N. Manjushree, if she does not take action against an election official against whom a complaint has been filed.  The person has made this threat over phone to the DC and she has filed a complaint in this regard at the West Police Station. The Police have registered an FIR under various Sections.

“I was involved in election work on Apr.17 at around 2.06 pm, when I got a call from mobile number 90086-65774 and the person at the other end abused me and threatened to kill me. Since I was involved in urgent election work I was not immediately able to give a complaint,” said the DC.

Based on the DC’s complaint, the Police registered a FIR before 6 pm yesterday and hunt is on to trace the person who issued the threat.
