Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Brahmotsava celebrations, Srikrishna Seva Samithi Charitable Trust has organised cultural programmes on May 14 and 15 at Srikrishna Temple in Gokulam.

On Saturday at 6 pm, vocal concert will be presented by Sreedevi Iyengar on account of Vaibhava Shayanotsava, the last Day of Brahmotsava. The concert is sponsored by Navaratna Jewellery Mart, Mysuru.

Vidu. Sreedevi learnt veena from her mother Nagamani Iyengar and later learnt vocal music from her aunt Sreemathi Jayaram. She continued her vocal music training under Lalitha Venkataraman along with her academic  career. She got her MA in Music from Mysore University.

She will be accompanied by Vidu. Sriraksha on violin and Vid.Shubhang on mridanga.

On Sunday, there will be a dance recital by Vidu. Namratha Jois and her students at Alwar Kala Bhavan in memory of Janaki Alwar at 6.30 pm, sponsored by Temple Trust.

Trained by Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy, Namratha is running Jois Kala Prathishtanam Dance School at Alwar Kala Bhavan.
