Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised a vocal music concert by Kalambika Sisters (Kaladhari Bhavani and Ambika Dath) at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar tomorrow (Apr. 28) at 6.30 pm.

They will be accompanied by Vid. C.A. Gurudath on mridanga, Vid. Pradesh Achar on violin and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on morching.

Kalambika Sisters

Kaladhari Bhavani and Ambika Dath are known as Kalambika Sisters. The sisters have trained under Guru Dr. C.A. Gurudath, a famous mridangist and vocalist. They are ‘B Grade’ artistes in Akashvani.

The sisters hail from the well-known Chilakunda music family. They were awarded the first rank in Vidwat music and have also been honoured with many prestigious awards such as National M.S. Subbalakshmi Award to name a few.

They have performed in various prestigious stages too.
