Mysuru: GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, in association with SPIC MACAY Karnataka, is organising a Hindustani Vocal Concert on Sept. 9 at 10.30 am at M. Govind Rao Memorial Hall (Auditorium), GSSSIETW, KRS Road, Metagalli, Mysuru.

The programme will feature Vidu. Sunanda Sharma, an accomplished Hindustani vocalist. She will be accompanied by Pt. Ravindra Yavagal on tabla and Sumit Mishra on harmonium.

The concert is being organised as part of the efforts to promote awareness and appreciation of Indian classical music and cultural heritage among the younger generation. The programme will provide students and faculty members an opportunity to experience and appreciate richness of Hindustani classical music through a live performance by accomplished artistes.

Such cultural programmes aim to encourage young minds to connect with India’s traditional art forms and musical heritage.

The event will be coordinated by Dr. R. Pradeep Kumar and Dr. S. Nithiyapriya, Department of Mathematics from GSSSIETW, Mysuru.
