Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting a Karnatak classical vocal concert by Vidushis Kaladhari Bhavani and Ambika Dath, popularly known as ‘Kalambika Sisters’ at 6 pm on Sunday (Nov. 30) at Bidaram Krishnappa’s Prasanna Seetharama Mandira, Narayana Shasry Road, Mysuru. 

The sisters will be accompanied on the violin by Vid. M.D. Arjun, on the mridanga by Vid. Dr. C.A. Gurudath and on the ghata by Vid. Sharath Koushik.

Artistes Profile

Vidushis Kaladhari Bhavani and Ambika Dath represent the well-known musical family of Chilakunda, They were initiated into music by their father and guru, Vid. Dr. C.A. Gurudath, an eminent mridanga artiste, flautist and vocalist. Both the sisters have achieved many milestones in their musical journeys, including first ranks in Vidwath exam, CCRT scholarship, ‘A’ grade recognition from Akashvani and DD.
