Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised a music concert in memory of late Y.S. Subramanya by Vidu. Amrutha Venkatesh at Veene Seshanna Bhavana on Adichunchanagiri Road in Kuvempunagar here on Sept. 9 at 6 pm. The programme is sponsored by Kumaraswamy Subbramanya (USA).

The artiste will be accompanied by Vid. R. Madhavan on violin, Vid. Arjun Ganesh on mridanga and Vid. Dr. S. Karthik on ghata.

Artiste’s Profile

Vidu. Amrutha Venkatesh is a well known musicologist. She was trained under great gurus like Vid. M.T. Selva Narayana, Vidu. Charumathi Ramachandran, Vid. Prince Ramavarma and Prof. Parasala Ponnamal. Her concerts are known for perfect renditions of kritis and great melody. Vidu. Amrutha is class by herself and created Bhani of her own. She has performed in various prestigious platforms  all over South India and also in the USA.

She has been honoured with Yuva Purandara Award, Raga Laya Prabha and many more.
