Mysuru: Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal (KSGH) Music and Performing Arts University has organised a two-day national  seminar on “Current Challenges in Performing Arts” at its premises on JLB Road in city from Mar. 26.

Students and researchers of various Universities across the nation can present their papers on  any one of the 20 themes including Current challenges before tabla gharanas, Current status of Hindustani music in the streams of performing arts, Adaptation and challenges of performing arts in education, Challenges faced by instrumentalists in employment sector, Role of research in the field of tabla.  Performing arts and communication media, Production and conservation of musical instruments, Educational performing arts and field performing arts, Performing arts and law, Performing arts and research, Performing arts and employment, Performing arts and blind beliefs, Performing arts and politics, Performing arts and backstage, Classical dance and health,  Economics and social challenges of dance performers, Performing arts and technology, Stage performance of concert and its organisational challenges, Gurukula system – challenges in modern music system and Challenges in conservation of performing arts.
