Music Varsity VC to be honoured

Mysuru: KSGH Music & Performing Arts University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sarvamangala Shankar, who will be demitting office shortly, will be felicitated at a programme to take place at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road at  10 am on Apr.8.

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, Dr. Sarvamangala Shankar Felicitation Committee member Dr. S. Shivarajappa said the event will also mark the VC’s 64th birthday. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Former Mysore Varsity VC Prof. S.N. Hegde will inaugurate the programme.

Folk Scholar Dr. Go.Ru. Channabasappa will release the felicitation volume titled ‘Gaanayana’ on the occasion, Dr. Shivarajappa said and added that Prof. Sarvamangala Shankar will take part in an  interaction meet to take place at 4 pm the same day.
