Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, is organising a two-day workshop on Karnatak Vocal Music on April 15 and 16 by eminent vocalist, Vid. Kunnakudi M. Balamurali Krishna at Sri Vidyabharathi Prarthana Mandira, Chandramouleeshwara Temple premises, V.V. Mohalla.

Kunnakudi M. Balamurali Krishna is one of the outstanding vocalists among the young musicians and his concerts are known for energetic, innovative and artistic renditions. His sound basics on laya and music are attributed to his training under legendary gurus, Vid. Karaikudi R. Mani on mridanga and Vid. P. S. Narayanaswamy on vocal music.

Vid Balamurali Krishna will teach rare compositions of Thyagaraja, Muthuswamy Dikshitar, Shyama Shastry, Swathi Tirunal, Papanasam Shivan and javalis in the workshop.
