September 7, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: The C.A.U.S.E. (Cooperation of the Arts for the Underprivileged in Society & Environment) Foundation, has organised a music performance titled ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ in city on Sept. 10. The event will be held at Jaganmohan Palace from 6 pm to 8 pm.

‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ is a delightfully irreverent take on the Biblical story of Jacob and his twelve sons, Joseph in particular. The musical is filled with catchy songs in a variety of genres including, country-western, rock n roll, calypso and French ballads including the unforgettable ‘Any Dream Will Do’ that has entertained and inspired generations of young and old theatre goers.

The cast includes some of Bengaluru’s finest new and old singing, acting, dancing and musical talent including R. Thomas, Alapana Bagirath, Madhuri Braganza, Shyju Varkey, Arvind Kasthuri  and Prem Koshy among others. The show will be accompanied by a Live Band, directed by Aashish Paul and dances are choreographed by V.K. Ritu and Elexer Fernandes.

Vibrant costumes and striking sets — using a combination of technology and hand painted scenes — makes this a must see event.

Tickets are priced at Rs. 700, Rs. 500 and Rs. 300, which are available at Pelican Pub, SAPA Bakery and Book My Show or call Kavitha on Mob: 98441-69903.

The Foundation has enthralled audiences for the past 25 years in Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Chennai, Kodagu, Goa, Cochin, Payyanur and Mumbai. The cast and crew (professionals in other fields or students) volunteer their time and effort freely towards this cause.

Some of the past musicals include classics like GREASE, My Fair Lady, Sound of Music, Hello Dolly, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Fiddler on the Roof, GHOST the Musical, Young Frankenstein, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Addams Family and most recently Lucky Stiff.
