Musical Fest by Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha Sabha this evening

Mysuru:  Guru Puttaraja (SGP) Sangeetha Sabha, Mysuru and Karnataka Balavikas Academy, Dharwad, have jointly organised a State-level Children Musical Festival (Chinnara Sangeethotsava) at Ganabharathi, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar today (Dec. 31) at 4.30 pm.

Makkala Maharshi Shankara Halagatti, Gen. Secretary, Karnataka Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Dharwad, will inaugurate the Fest. M.V. Ramaprasad, Corporator and Hon. President, SGP Sangeetha Sabha, will preside.

Bharathi Shattar, Planning Officer, Karnataka Balavikas Academy, Dharwad and Nagalingegowda, President, Gramaranga Samskrutika Vedike, Pandavapura, will be the chief guests.

Invocation by students of SGP Sangeetha Vidyalaya. G.N. Manjunath, Announcer, Akashvani, Mysuru, will compere.

Following cultural programmes will be held as part of the Fest:

5 pm: Violin recital by Satvika G. Mahamane, Dharwad.

5.15 pm: Hindustani Classical Music by Abhinandan S. Gavimath and Abhishek K. Athreya — disciples of Dr. Sandhya Bhatta, Swara Sadhana Sangeetha Academy.

5.30 pm: Devotional Songs by Poorvi Bidanur, Trishika Marballi, Y. Benakashree and K.S. Shishira — disciples of Mrutyunjaya Kachapura, Sri Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha Vidyalaya.

5.45 pm: Folk Songs by Chinmayi N. Gowda and Tanmayi N. Gowda — children of Nagalingegowda,   Gramaranga Samskruti Vedike, Pandavapura.

6 pm: Vachana Gayana by Panchami Bidanur and G. Trisha — disciples of Mrutyunjaya Kachapura, Sri Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha Vidyalaya.

6.15 pm: Saxophone Recital by Poorvika, Chinmay, Yashaswini and Prajwal — disciples of Vid. Yadukumar.

6.30 pm: Group Tabla Recital by R. Shashwath, H.S. Aryadata, Akshobhe A. Bharadwaj, M.P. Vishruth and Poorvi Bidanur — disciples of Bhimashankar Bidanur, Sri Guru Puttaraja Sangeetha Vidyalaya.

6.45 pm: Devaranama by Vaishnavi Prasad, K. Bhoomika, L. Meghashree, M. Vandana and Prarthana Ravi of Sri Satya Sai Baba School, Jayalakshmipuram.

7 pm: Bharatanatyam by Jayashree, Ayna Sommaiah, Dheetya Renukesha, Rishika Gowda and Chinmita — disciples of Dr. P.M. Chethana Radhakrishna, Gurudeva Lalithakala Academy.

7.15 pm: Folk Dance by  Amruta Bindhu, Shamita, Navyashree, Divyashree, Sahana Bhat and Prajna — disciples of Dr. P.M. Chethana Radhakrishna, Gurudeva Lalithakala Academy.

7.30 pm: Percussion Concert by P. Yajat, Vachanakshay Yatarth and Mahaswin — disciples of Prasad School of Rythms. Tabla accompaniment by C. Mahadev, Rohith Kashyap, Rohith Kalale, Panchami Bidanur and G. Kishore, dol accompaniment by S.S. Jnanesha and harmonium accompaniment by Mrutyunjaya Kachapura and G. Trisha.
