Piloted by ‘Mysuru Mohan,’ an iconic star of the film industry, a Musical Nite titled ‘Guru Pournami: Receiving the Guru’s Grace’ has been organised on Sunday (July 6) at the MMC&RI Platinum Jubilee Auditorium, J.K. Grounds, Mysuru, commencing at 5 pm.
The programme is in recognition and aid of yeomen services rendered by musicians (instrumentalists) who toil hard to enrich the performance of singers and programmes at large.
E. Ravikiran, a renowned tabla player of the city, has taken the initiative to bring the programme to fore, in memory of his father late Eshwar, who himself was a renowned ‘Dholak’ player.
Mohan has the reputation of playing many instruments and has directed programmes nationally and internationally. The Director of the programme is H. Ashwathnarayana, a builder by profession. D.T. Prakash, State Vice-President of AKBMS and producer of Motion Films, will be the guest of honour.
