A musical salute to our Police forces

Mysuru:’Swaraamrutha – 3: A salute to Mysuru City Police (Aarakshakarige Namana),’ a musical evening programme organised by Rotary Heritage Mysore and Swarasagara Music Foundation to remember Police forces which are always there for our help braving sun, cold and rain, was held at the Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri here last evening.

The venue was thronged by ticket and pass holders who braved the cold weather and mist and enjoyed the event whole heartedly.

The programme began with city’s Sriharsha of SaReGaMa Season 2 fame singing ‘Deva Sri Ganesha…’ to which a group of dancers performed. Child artistes of SaReGaMa Little Champs and Drama Juniors also enthralled the audience with dialogues from Kannada movies besides dancing and singing to Kannada movie songs.

Sandalwood Singer Vijay Prakash too sung a few songs such as ‘Belageddu Yaara Mukhava Naanu Nodide,’ ‘Bombe Heluthaite Mathe Heluthaite,’ referring Policemen as Rajakumara (Prince).

Before the commencement of the musical evening, the programme was inaugurated by a host of dignitaries. City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao was the chief guest. Rotary Governor M.N. Chengappa, Rotary Heritage Mysore Secretary Prabhakar, District Governor Joseph Mathew, Rotary Heritage Mysore President-elect Shivarudrappa, Ramadas, DCPs N. Vishnuvardhana and Dr. Vikram V. Amathe were present.
