Mysuru: The Muslim Educational Society (MES), Mysuru, celebrated its Golden Jubilee at MES First Grade College, Azeez Sait Double Road, Udayagiri, Mysuru, recently.

The historic occasion marked 50 glorious years of the Muslim Educational Society’s dedicated service in the field of education and community development.

The Golden Jubilee programme was attended by distinguished guests, members of the management, staff, students, alumni and well-wishers.

Narasimharaja Constituency MLA Tanveer Sait  presided. University of Mysore (UoM) Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath was the chief guest.

To commemorate this historic occasion, a souvenir was also released by the dignitaries.

A special ceremony was also held during the Golden Jubilee event to honour distinguished personalities.

The Muslim Educational Society was established in 1973 by Dr. Syed Shakeebur Rahman (former Principal of SJCE, Mysuru & former Dean of VTU, Belagavi) to uplift and provide quality education to impoverished and minority communities.
