MyBuild Expo draws to a close

Mysore/Mysuru: The five-day ‘MyBuild-2023’ exhibition, organised by the Mysore Centre of Builders Association of India (BAI) at Maharaja’s College Grounds drew to a close yesterday. The expo, which showcased building materials, modern interior design and latest construction methods, was a grand success with thousands of people visiting it over the five days (Dec. 7 to 11).

Delivering the valedictory address, BAI National Vice-President N.S. Muralidhar said that the MyBuild Expo, which began on a small scale 23 years ago, with the first expo held at Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry on Vinoba Road in the city, has now grown big with the expo moving to the sprawling Maharaja’s College Grounds. The BAI has been working for fulfilling the wishes of everyone to have a dream house, he added.

The banner of ‘MyBuild-2024’  Exhibition was released on the occasion. On the concluding day yesterday, prizes were distributed to the best stalls in each category. The winners are as follows:

Platinum Block — Multi-Stall Section: 1st prize – PRO FX Tech Private Limited; 2nd – Aspire UPVC Windows; 3rd – RKB Build Pro; Double Stall: 1st – Events-Havells – Mangaldeep Electricals and Lights; 2nd – Zenith Constructions; 3rd – Online Squares; Single Stall: 1st – Ahmed Ali and Co. (Pvt.) Ltd. since 1916; 2nd – I Build Interior; 3rd – E3 Wood.

Diamond Block — Double Stall: 1st – Tofwood & Advis; 2nd – Polywood Profiles Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore; Single Stall: 1st – EnviroSoch; 2nd – Home Cinema.

Naksha Builders won ‘Creative Stall’ prize.

Mysore Builders Charitable Trust (MBCT) Managing Trustee N.P. Vishwanath, Engineer N.K. Mahesh, BAI Mysore Chairman Nagaraj V. Bairy, Hon. Secretary: K.S. Balaji, MyBuild-23 Chairman M.D. Chandrashekar, Hon. Secretary R. Ramesh Rao and others were present.

Purvika Raj is ‘Voice of MyBuild-23’

As part of MyBuild-23 exhibition, ‘Voice of MyBuild-2023’ singing competition was organised for High School students.

A total of 30 students had taken part in the auditions held at MBCT auditorium in Vishweshwaranagar on Dec. 2. Out of which, 13 were selected for the semifinals. Out of the 13 semifinalists, eight qualified for the finals. They are Aadarsh, Jagath Tej, Lahari, Purvika K. Raj, D.M. Rachana, Sumith M. Surya, Siri Shetty and Shravya. The semi-finals and finals were held at exhibition venue on Dec. 8 and 10 respectively.

In the finals, Purvika K. Raj, a 10th standard student of Excel Public School, emerged as the ‘Voice of MyBuild-23.’ She is the daughter K.R. Natraj and S. Shruthi. Lahari, a 9th standard student of DAV Public School, won second prize while Sumith M. Surya, an 8th standard student of Adarsha School, got 3rd prize.
