Mysore District Basketball Tournament for High School Boys & Girls: BVB School and Vani Vilas Ursu School clinch titles

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (bvb) High School boys and Vani Vilas Ursu High School girls clinched the High school boys and girls titles respectively in the Mysore District Basketball league tournament for High school (boys & girls) conducted by MDBBA at the University basketball courts here on Thursday.

In the High school boys final, BVB beat St.Joseph’s Central School, Yelwal 46-33 and clinched the title.

In the High School girls finals, Vani Vilas Ursu School got the better of Manasasarowar Pushkarni Vidyalaya 25-12 and clinched the title. A total of 14 boys and 12 girls team participated in the tournament.

Results

Final – Boys: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan 46 (Deepak Gowda 22) bt St.Joseph’s Central School, Yelwal 33 (Sahil Fazzi 13). Semi-finals: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan 65 (Deepak 34) bt St.Joseph’s HS, Jayalakshmipuram 21 (Suhas 7), St.Joseph’s Central school, Yelwal 39 (Sahil Fazi 17) bt DAV HS 31 (Chirayu 10).

Final-Girls: Sri Vanivilas Ursu Girls HS 25 (Meghana 17) bt Manasasarowar Pushkarni Vidyashrama 12 (Vidisha 4). Semi-finals: Sri Vanivilas Ursu Girls High School 52 (Priya M 26) bt National Public School  22 (Anusha 8), Manasasarowar Pushkarni Vidyashrama 28 (Vidisha 14) bt Podar International HS 22 (Anagha 20).
