Moon not sighted, Holy Month of Ramzan and Fasting to start from tomorrow
Mysuru: The Mysore District Moon Committee Meeting was held yesterday at the office of the Mysore District Wakf Advisory Committee on Sayyaji Rao Road in city, under the Chairmanship of Sir Khazi of Mysuru Hazrath Moulana Mohammed Usman Shariff.
The meeting tried to collect information from various parts of Mysuru district and the State and since nowhere the Moon was sighted, it was decided to start the Holy Month of Ramzan from Mar. 2 along with fasting.
Hazrath Moulana Mohamed Zaka Ulla Siddiqui, Hazrath Moulana Mufthi Syed Tajuddin Saheb, Moulana Shah Vali Ulla, former Corporator Suhail Baig, Mohamed Abdus Salam, Jameel Ahmed Ashrafi, Mirza Jamsheed Baig Ashrafi, Mudassir Ahmed, Wakf Officer Mohammed Mushtaq Ahmed and others were present at the meeting.

Ruhiyat Hilal Moon Committee
Meanwhile, a meeting of the Ruhiyat Hilal Moon Committee was conducted at the office of the District Wakf Advisory Committee, Mysuru, under the Presidentship of Sir Khazi of Mysuru along with esteemed Ulama-e-Kiram.
After consultation, the Committee concluded that the Moon was not sighted anywhere in India. Accordingly, the Committee decided that Ramzan fasting will commence from Mar. 2.
