K.B. Ganapathy, Founder-Editor of Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra and former Indian cricketer Javagal Srinath were felicitated by Sri Kanteerava Narasimharaja Sports Club (Mysore Sports Club) for being conferred with Hon. Doctorate by the University of Mysore during the convocation held on Oct. 18, 2023. Since Javagal Srinath was unable to attend, he had sent a video clip of his message of thanks which was screened on the occasion.

The felicitation and also the Deepavali Deepotsava, held at the lawns of Mysore Sports Club was inaugurated by K.B. Ganapathy by lighting the traditional lamp.
