Vehicle parking on footpath: Will Traffic Cops intervene?

November 28, 2023

Sir,

This is to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards parking of vehicles on footpaths on the busy Ashoka Road, causing significant obstructions to pedestrian traffic.

This persistent problem not only violates traffic regulations but also poses a severe threat to public safety. The obstruction of footpaths forces pedestrians, including children and the elderly, onto the roadways, leading to potential accidents and risks to their well-being.

I request the Mysuru City Traffic Police to intervene and address this issue promptly. Increased enforcement or stricter monitoring of these areas could significantly reduce the problem and ensure the safety and convenience of pedestrians.
