Mysore Travel Mart-2026 at JCAC from June 5 to 7

Mysore/Mysuru: The fifth edition of Mysore Travel Mart-2026 has been organised by Mysore Travels Association (MTA), in collaboration with GRS Fantasy Park, Central Tourism Department, Karnataka Tourism Department, Mysore Hotel Owners Association and SKAL International Mysore, at Jagannatha Centre for Art and Culture (JCAC) in Vijayanagar 1st Stage from June 5 to 7.

Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city yesterday, B.S. Prashanth, President, MTA & FOAM (Federation of Organisations & Associations of Mysuru), said that the event will be inaugurated on June 5 at 11 am by Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, State Tourism Minister H.K. Patil, Mysore District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Wadiyar and Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda.

“On the morning of June 6, a session will be held on the topics of ‘Media and Tourism’, ‘Film City in Mysore’, ‘Tourism and Sustainable Development’ by senior journalists, famous film actors and pioneers of sustainable tourism. Journalist Vishweshwar Bhat will be part of the discussion. There will also be a session on Airport Development which will be attended by MP Yaduveer Wadiyar, former MP Prathap Simha and former Mysore Airport Director R. Manjunath,” he explained.

He added that on the same day ‘SKAL International Mysore Tourism and Hospitality Award Night’ will be held, recognising famous hotels, resorts, tourists and those directly or indirectly working for the development of tourism in Mysuru.

Stating that more than 100 stalls will operate from 10 am to 8 pm on all the three days, Prashanth said “Exhibitors, not only Mysuru, but also from various  places including Kodagu, Jaipur, Rajasthan, Kerala, Bhubaneswar, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir and abroad will participate. Also, more than 450 hosted buyers will come from across the country.”

Pointing out that the tourists, who visit Mysuru, will move to Wayanad and Ooty after touring Mysuru in a single day, he said that we should think of ways to develop Mysuru tourism so that tourists wish to stay back in   Mysuru for long period.

“Mysore Travel Mart-2026 is an attempt to make the entire Karnataka, especially Mysuru, a city of even greater importance on the tourism map of India. Over 10,000 people are expected to come over 3 days. Everyone will have free access to the event. The closing ceremony will be held on the evening of June 7,” he concluded.
