He was speaking at the annual celebrations and the send off function to senior students of evening college on Monday.

“University of Mysore has given birth to many achievers. Among them are four former Chief Ministers of the State S. Nijalingappa, S.M. Krishna, S. Bangarappa and Siddharamaiah who have identified themselves in politics. It is a matter of pride to say that these achievers are the products of University of Mysore,” said Dr. Devarajegowda.

Senior students have completed the final year degree education. Some of them are preparing for higher education while some others may take up employment. It is good that most of the students who study in evening colleges attend colleges in the evening after working during daytime.

Evening college students work hard to get their degree, and students should carve out a good future for themselves,” he advised.

Artist Chandan Achar, extra-curricular activities committee convenor and History Department Head Dr.Rachiah, many lecturers, research students and non-teaching staff were present on the occasion.
