Mysore Warriors ‘Hunt’ for Talents

July 22, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: The second leg of Mysore Warriors Talent Hunt was held at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium in Manasagangothri here this morning. As many as 200 budding cricketers, including 50 spinners, 55 medium pacers, 40 all-rounders, 15 wicket keepers and 40 batters, from Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar, took part in the selection process.

The selection process was conducted under the watchful eyes of Mysore Warriors Assistant Coach Vijay Madyalkar, Bowling Coach Aditya B. Sagar and Team Manager M.R. Suresh. The selected players from both the legs (Bengaluru and Mysuru) will be part of Mysore Warriors camp for a complete assessment before two players are officially drafted into the team.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Mysore Warriors Team Manager said, “The talent hunt was an opportunity for cricket players from mofussil centres to showcase their talent and Mysore Warriors can select as many players and add them to the list of players who will go under the hammer during the auction for this year’s KSCA Maharaja Trophy and can be picked by the other teams.”

This is also an opportunity for the talent scouts belonging to other teams identify players who could be a part of their teams during the auction process, he said.
