A Mass Suryanamaskara programme was organised by Mysore Yoga Association (MYA) at Samskruta Pathashala on Sayyaji Rao Road here this morning. About 50 yoga enthusiasts participated.

A photo exhibition on ‘Heritage of Yoga’ was also arranged at the venue which included about 30 photos of yogic postures of yoga veterans like Thirumala Krishnamachar, Pattabi Jois, BKS Iyengar, not to  exclude Matinee Idol Dr. Rajkumar and Nalwadi Krishanaraja Wadiyar.

Dharmika Seva Ratna, Samaja Seva Ratna and Sahitya Seva Ratna awards were presented to K.S. Raghuramaiah Vajpayee, Pushpa Iyengar and Dr. K. Leela Prakash respectively.

Srihari Dwarakanath, Founder of GSS Foundation, inaugurated the programme. Yoga Prakash, President of MYA, Corporator B.V. Manjunath and others were present on the occasion.
