Mystery shrouds death of hotel employee

Mother suspects murder

Nanjangud:  Mystery shrouds over the death of a hotel employee who was found hanging to a tamarind tree near the Hadinaaru Kaalu Mantapa near Kapila River here on Sept.2 evening.  

The deceased has been identified as Shivu (20), son of Mahadevashetty and a resident of Ambale village in the taluk, who was working as a supplier at a hotel on Ooty Road in the town.

Nanjangud Sub-Inspector Savi and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to the General Hospital, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the deceased’s family members.

Meanwhile, deceased Shivu’s mother Mallamma, who has lodged a complaint, has stated that Shivu was a bachelor and he has not committed suicide but someone has murdered him and has urged the Police to provide justice to her. Nanjangud Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
