Kushalnagar: The death of a student at Sainik School Kodagu in Kudige at Somwarpet taluk in Kodagu yesterday has given rise to doubts and the parents, relatives of the student and villagers, numbering more than 100, staged a protest in front of the mortuary this morning alleging that the student has been murdered.

The protesters demanded the Principal of the School be brought to the spot and arrest the five persons named in the FIR.

The deceased student is Naganda Chingappa (19), a resident of Madapura village in Somwarpet taluk and was studying in 9th standard at the school.

Yesterday evening, Chingappa was reportedly found unconscious in the toilet of the School and the School staff, who had found him, had rushed him to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
