Mystery shrouds death of student at residential school

Mysuru: A student has died under mysterious circumstances at a residential school in Kuppalli village in K.R. Nagar taluk.

The deceased boy is Gowtham (14), son of Shivanna and Rekhavathi couple of Saalekoppal village in the taluk. He was pursuing his eighth standard at Indira Gandhi Residential School at Kuppalli.

Gowtham, who slept after having his dinner on Monday night, did not wake up the next day morning. When other students tried to wake him up, his death came to light.

K.R. Nagar Tahsildar Manjula, Inspector P.K. Raju and District Backward Classes Welfare Officer Bindiya visited the residential school and collected information. Saligrama Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
