Mystery shrouds death of woman

Periyapatna: Mystery shrouds over the death of an unidentified woman, whose body was found in a gunny bag near Mahadeshwara Temple Road in the town yesterday morning. 

The public have suspected that the woman may have been murdered by miscreants somewhere and have dumped the body on the road.

The face of the woman has wounds and scratches and there is a name ‘Hosuru Saroja’ tattooed on her right hand. 

Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and have registered a case. As the woman could not be identified nor the relatives could be traced, the Police have shifted the body to Govt. Hospital mortuary in the town. 

The kith and kin of the deceased, if any, may contact Periyapatna Police Station.
