Mystery shrouds over the death of tribal woman

Murder suspected

Periyapatna: Mystery shrouds over the death of a tribal woman, who was living separately from her husband. Her body was found at Lingapura tribal hamlet in the taluk and the people are suspecting it to be a murder.

The deceased woman has been identified as Padmini (42)  who was living with her three daughters and a son after separating from her husband Chandra about 5-6 years ago.

Padmini at about 8.30 pm on Saturday went out of her house and her body was found in the maize field on  Sunday afternoon.

Periyapatna Police, who have registered a case in this regard, have shifted the body to Periyapatna General Hospital mortuary and have launched a hunt to nab her husband, who is absconding.
