Mystery shrouds death of youth in Madikeri

Madikeri: Mystery shrouds the death of a youth whose body with injuries on the head was found near Kannika Parameshwari Temple in the town on Sept. 30.

The deceased youth has been identified as Chandrashekar (27), son of Mallesh and a resident of Rajarajeshwari Layout in Madikeri. As his body bore injuries, it is suspected that he was killed by some miscreants.

It is also learnt that Chandrashekar, who was working as a supplier at a hotel here, may have fallen from a cliff resulting in him sustaining injuries to his head leading to his death.

Sources said that the actual cause for his death could be ascertained only after receiving the post-mortem report.

Madikeri Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
