Mysurean completes ‘ISAN 2024 kms’ endurance cycling event

Siveej Kodapully Sivaraman, employed at BRBNMPL (RBI), Mysuru, holds the honour of being the only one from Mysuru to successfully complete the ‘ISAN 2024 kms’ ride — a long distance endurance LRM cycling event — organised by Audax Club Isan.

The route is a loop across Northern Thailand (ISAN region) along the borders of Cambodia and Laos, 800 kms along the Mekong river. The cyclists had to endure extreme weather conditions and difficult terrains making this cycle ride an extreme sport which demands both mental and physical strength.

Siveej is an accomplished ultra-endurance cyclist, having cycled a distance of 26,566 kms since July 2022. He successfully completed the ISAN 2024 kms ride in 176 hours [The ride started on Apr. 26 and he completed it a day earlier on Mar. 2].

He had also completed the Paris–Brest–Paris (PBP) 1,200 kms ride in 87 hours in Aug., 2023.
